Islam, as a branch of knowledge based on the Qur'an and hadith, encourages the moral, social, security, economic rights of women. These rights, the first of their kind when they were released, the 7th century, the equal right and dignity of all humans before God were the focus of the women's revolution. According to the Quran, women and men are spiritually equal their success in the attainment of piety and righteousness. These rights find substantial space in different Muslim societies because of various cultural norms and traditional interpretations of Sharia. Women in Pakistan suffer from the patriarchal system deeply ingrained in societal norms that restricts their freedom and opportunities. Right from family dynamics and socialization to marriage and reproductive rights, the women face the very discrimination of the system. Violence against women, including honor killings, is still a widespread practice, justified by cultural norms rather than Islamic principles. Women's problems are of course one of the results of socio-economic problems. Even though the laws are in place, there is a lack of enforcement of those laws. A set of actions and operations are necessary to be implemented to find the best solution, which consists of legal changes, policy interference, and culture change. By way of teaching true Islam perspectives, women's rights lecturer, and upbringing to end harmful cultural practices, Pakistan will have enough potential for its female half, which is in its turn the key to the success of the whole country. A relationship between Islamic rights and cultural practices, told in the form of a comparison, can be examined in the areas of acceptability and separation. While Islamic religion and local customs put their stress on family relationships and community development, but they are diverse when it comes to women's rights, their legal and social status, and the gender role of men. The teachings of Islam in turn convey the messages of justice and equality, whereas cultural norms often create the situation by which women are forced in the position of a "gender hack" and not having freedom.</p>2024-07-18T00:00:00+04:00Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Hameed Islamic Studies Research Journalhttps://jsakbar.edu.pk/index.php/ahrj/article/view/102The Role of Digital Literacy In Distance Education: A Gender Based Analysis Of Learning At Islamic (Madrasah) School In Pakistan2024-10-05T06:33:22+04:00Muhammad Kashif Majeedkashifmajeed.edu.my@gmail.comProf. Dr. Dawood Abdul Malek Yahya Alhidabidawood@iium.edu.myMuhammad Saqib Majeedsaqibmeo6645@gmai.com<p>This paper explores the role of digital literacy in distance education, focusing on gender-based differences in learning outcomes and engagement at the Islamic (madrasah) school level in District Taunsa Sharif, South Pakistan. With the rapid shift towards digital platforms for education, understanding how digital literacy impacts male and female students differently has become crucial. The study employs a quantitative research methodology, including in questionnaire with teachers and students from various Islamic (madrasah schools in the region. The first objective is to analyze the impact of digital literacy on learning outcomes among male and female students in distance education. The findings reveal that students with higher levels of digital literacy tend to perform better academically, but significant gender disparities exist. Male students often have greater access to digital tools and resources, contributing to better learning outcomes compared to their female counterparts, who face cultural and societal constraints. The second objective is to evaluate engagement levels based on gender using digital literacy tools. The study finds that while digital literacy enhances student engagement, female students often exhibit lower levels of participation due to limited access to technology and societal expectations. However, when provided with equal opportunities and resources, female students show comparable levels of engagement to male students, underscoring the importance of addressing gender inequalities in digital access. There were 996 secondary teachers in all, all of them were Islamic (madrasah school teachers from the district of Taunsa Sharif. A questionnaire was used to gather the quantitative data. The acquired data was analyzed by dividing the demographics of the respondents into percentages. Expert opinion and the Cronbach Alpha score were used to verify the questionnaire's validity and reliability during the test's pilot phase in Taunsa Sharif district.</p>2024-09-26T00:00:00+04:00Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Hameed Islamic Studies Research Journalhttps://jsakbar.edu.pk/index.php/ahrj/article/view/90اسلامی مسلمات کے بارے میں متجدد فکِر کا آغاز مابعد فکِر سر سید کے اثرات کا تنقیدی جائزہ 2024-08-10T02:39:47+04:00Samreen Akramsamreenakram97@gmail.comProf. Dr. Humayun Abbasrhumayunabbas@gcuf.edu.pk<p>This article examines the evolution of modern Islamic thought in the post Sir Syed’s era tracing the intellectual and ideological trajectories reforsed through a critical analysis of key thinker, movements and debates.
