Abstract

This research explores the principles of ease and facilitation (تخفیف و سہولت) as manifested in the Prophetic narratives (Qasas al-Hadith), highlighting their practical and ethical reflections in daily human conduct. Through the study of selected Hadith stories — such as the man who removed a thorny branch from the path, the creditor who showed mercy to debtors, and the person who quenched the thirst of a dog — the paper examines how small acts of kindness and social responsibility are elevated to divine acceptance. The study argues that these narratives, though simple in form, embody profound theological, moral, and civilizational meanings. They reflect Islam’s humanistic vision, where compassion, forgiveness, and public welfare are not peripheral virtues but central manifestations of faith. Historically, scholars like Ibn Hajar, al-‘Ayni, and al-Zarqani have discussed the anonymous nature of these characters, suggesting that they belong to previous nations, possibly Bani Israel, yet their moral universality transcends all eras. Thematically, these accounts promote social harmony, environmental care, empathy towards humans and animals alike, and mercy in financial dealings — all as expressions of divine pleasure. The research concludes that ease and facilitation in prophetic teachings are not abstract theological ideals but practical guidelines for spiritual refinement and communal ethics, reminding believers that even the smallest good deed, done sincerely, may become a means of eternal salvation.
