Abstract

Women have a very special place, status, and dignity. Women played an important role in developing the Muslim society. All female companions (Ṣiḥābiyāt) were very pious, generous, brave and helpful. They had a lot of knowledge of Qurān, Ḥadīth & Arabic literature. Every Muslim likes to know the life sketches of wives of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him and the daughters of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). In this article, life sketches of women are listed in two categories, such as wives of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and the daughters of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). Historians agree that the wives of Prophet (Peace be upon him) are eleven. And the daughters of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) are four. They are Ḥadhrat Ruqayyah, Ḥadhrat Umm. e. kulsum,  Ḥadhrat Zainab  and Ḥadhrat Fatima (May Allah be pleased with them).
