A Research Review of welfare activities of Akhuwat Foundation in the light of Islāmic Teachings

Abstract

Poverty is a disease that effects not only individual but also collective life in the society. During every period people with pain in their hearts made their tireless efforts to eradicate poverty. Even today many organisations are playing their effective role  in this regard. One of these is" Akhuwat Foundation" organised by Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib which is working under different departments to solve the problems of Pakistani people. The purpose of establishment of" Akhuwat Foundation"  is to solve the economic problems of the people in the style of "Muakhaat e Madina" that is why the major sector of this organisation is the provision of interest free loans  In this article and attempt has been made to explain how this aspect of Akhuwat Foundation is compatible with Islamic teachings.
