Analytical Study of Books of Imam Tahawi

Abstract

Al-Tahawi (239-321 H) is an expert scholar of Hadith and jurisprudence of early age. He has contributed a lot in Hadith and Hanafi fiqh literature. This article aims to discuss and analyse the books of al-Tahawi. He has written books on different fields of his age and contributed a lot. His works has special status in the litertature of Hadith sciences as well as in Quran and Jurisprudance. He has written Sharah Ma’ni al-Athar and Sharah Mushkil al-Athar in contradictory hadith. After the introduction of al-Tahawi his books have been discussed and analysed. Analytical research method has been adopted to elaborate the data.   Methodology of al-Tahawi has been explained with the examples from them. The study can be concluded that al-Tahawi has written and compliled unique book on contradictory Hadith. There is no any other example of his work in Contraditory Hadith
