Comparative Analysis of Global Standards And Islamic Teachings on Environmental Changes
Abstract
This study holds the power of revealing ecological changes and its crises at the global level. It encompasses the comparative analysis of global standards and Islāmic teachings for preservation of ecology and its relation to humans. Environmental change has emerged as one of the most crucial issues in the world. This environmental change is causing the environmental crises which are disrupting the ecological balance. The root cause of ecological change and its crises is human interference and their anthropogenic activities. The immense use of coal, tar, toxic fumes, and noxious gases is causing the emission of greenhouse gases due to which earth temperature is accumulating, water, air, and land pollution is increasing and causing extinction and injuries of animal diversity. This research analyzes the compatibilities and contradictions between Islamic teachings and global standards regarding environmental conservation and its relation to human beings. Islām is a flexible religion. Many ethical principles are derived in the light of teaching of islam for sustainable development. As global standards embrace alliance, responsibility, accountability and Islāmic teachings promote monotheism (tauhid), trustworthiness, and accountability. This acquaintance recommends integration of Islāmic teachings into global policies. This study purposes to provide an in depth comparative analysis of global standards and Islāmic teachings which have the mutual interest of ecological conservation and its relation to human beings.
