Abstract

The summary of this discussion is that Maulana Amin Aḥsan Iṣlaḥī's principles of jurisprudence or principles of Sharia are five in contrast to the Arba'a imams. Then the ḥadith is followed by ijtihad and the speaker of ijtihad is a collective member who is called Ijmaa, who is the one who strives to make it perfect. There is a detail in Maulana Iṣlaḥī's Principles of the Qur'an that he does not believe in the Qur'an to be ascribed to hadiths by means of abrogation and interpretation, and in the hadith it is detailed that Maulana Iṣlaḥī differentiates between hadith and sunnah, that there is a slight difference between sunnah and hadith, that is, that sunnah refers to the proven method from the Messenger of Allah and hadith to others. There are sayings, actions and speeches which are narrated with the Prophet's narrations, generally since it is proven or disputed, the hadith can be good, correct, weak subject and reversed, but these debates do not arise regarding the Sunnah.
